WRITING

Humans crave good stories—we share them nonstop. More than just entertainment, they’re our chief communication method; it’s through stories we better understand our world and each other, and my life work is telling and sharing them.

In a theme common to most writers, my writing journey began as a child. I’d write quirky fiction or reimagine song lyrics before crumpling them up in embarrassment. While the embarrassment has faded (slightly), the desire to communicate using words has not.

I craft true stories about Coastal British Columbia and review books by BC authors. You’ll find my work in various publications, including The BC Review, The Canadian Journal of Native Studies, CV Collective, edible Vancouver Island, and Compass Magazine (to name a few).
